Prime Minister Narendra Modi government’s Ujjwala Yojana (Gas cylinder) and Har Ghar Jal (Jal Jeevan Mission) schemes stand out as the most popular scheme among the masses, with 70 per cent respondents hailing saying they have immensely benefitted from them, according to a News 18 Mega Opinion Poll.
The survey, covering 518 Lok Sabha constituencies across 21 major states, features a sample size of over 1,18,616 respondents, of which 64,453 are male voters and 54,163 female voters.
Of the total respondents, 50,647 are from urban areas while 67,969 belong to rural regions of the country.
On being asked which of the Modi government schemes you are aware of, 61 per cent said Ujjwala Yojana (Gas cylinder), 56 per cent Har Ghar Jal (Jal Jeevan Mission), 53 per cent PM Awas Yojana (Housing scheme), 51 per cent PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, 51 per cent Jan Dhan Yojana (Bank accounts), 40 per cent Ayushman Bharat (Healthcare) and 8 per cent said none of the above.
Among the respondents ranging from 60,000 to 72,000, 68 per cent said that they have benefitted from PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, 58 per cent from PM Awas Yojana (Housing scheme), 70 per cent from Har Ghar Jal (Jal Jeevan Mission), 70 per cent from Ujjwala Yojana (Gas cylinder scheme), 66 per cent from Jan Dhan Yojana (Bank accounts scheme) and 61 per cent from Ayushman Bharat (Healthcare scheme), according to the poll.
Utilising a structured questionnaire translated into 11 regional languages, the survey employed personal face-to-face interviews conducted at homes selected via random sampling.
Each Lok Sabha constituency was meticulously covered, with three Assembly constituencies and five polling booths selected in each, ensuring a representative and unbiased sampling process.
