[/caption] The clash between security forces and the Maoists began this morning in the Chhindgarh area of the district as Maoists reportedly tried to block a national highway in the area, CNN IBN reported. Two police personnel are also missing after the clash with the Maoists began. This is the third attack by Maoists this week in the state. Earlier this week, they had ambushed a vehicle carrying paramilitary personnel killing seven persons. Naxalites have dominated areas of Sukma district and recently the district collector, Alex Paul Menon, was abducted and subsequently released after 12 days in captivity. He has continued to remain in the district after the incident. Incidentally, Maoists have called for a nationwide bandh today. A group had yesterday stopped an Indian Railways passenger train in Jharkhand and left a bomb on the locomotive.
