The Times of India. “We will send an email to the WhatsApp administrator to seek details of the source of WhatsApp posts. The other option is to go backwards to the link of the posts. This will help us access the number from where the posts originated,” cyber crime cell police inspector Pratibha Shendge told TOI. Shendge also said that no FIR has been registered in the case till now, according to

On Monday, the Whatsapp screenshots of the paper started doing the rounds as early as 10:20 am while the exam was to be held between 11 am to 2 pm. “We received complaints from Mumbai division. It looks like a copying case prima facie. We are investigating. As of now, re-exam is not being discussed,” Krishnakumar Patil, secretary, Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education had said. Close to 3 lakh students took the exam, and students from Kandivili were the first to get screenshots of the first 3 pages of the 11 page exam. There is no news of re-examination as of now for the HSC paper. “Based on information we have right now, no plans of re-examination are being discussed and students need not worry about the same. We request them to focus on their other papers stress-free," Krishnarao Patil, MSBSHSE secretary, had said.
