Narendra Modi will take oath as Prime Minister for the third consecutive time on Sunday, June 9.
Ahead of the NDA parliamentary party meeting, BJP leader Pralhad Joshi said Narendra Modi will take oath as PM on June 9 at 6 pm.
Earlier, there were reports that Modi will take oath as the PM on Saturday, June 8.
On Friday afternoon, the NDA parliamentary party meeting was held in the Central Hall of the old Parliament building where leaders of the alliance proposed Modi’s name for the prime ministerial post.
After the meeting, the NDA will go to Rashtrapati Bhavan and will stake claim to form the government before President Droupadi Murmu.
Who are expected to attend Modi’s swearing-in ceremony?
World leaders including Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Sri Lanka President Ranil Wickremesinghe, and Nepal PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal are set to attend the ceremony.
Sources told News18 that the government has sought accomodation of 7,000-8,000 at Modi 3.0 oath taking ceremony on June 9.
A report by Indian Express quoted officials of Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) as saying that Maldives President Mohammad Muizzu, Vice President of Seychelles Ahmed Afif, Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, and head of state of Mauritius are coming to attend the swearing-in ceremony."
They are expected to stay in four hotels in the national capital – Taj Palace, The Oberoi, The Leela Palace and ITC Maurya.
Apart from global leaders, Prominent persons from various walks of life including lawyers, doctors, artists and cultural performers, influencers and professions will also be called at the event.

Mann ki baat participants, acknowledged by PM; rat miners from Uttarakhand; tribal women and awardees of Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan and Padma Shree have also been invited to attend Modi’s swearing-in ceremony.
