Nagaland polls: Congress announces list of 51 candidates

New Delhi: The Congress today announced a list of 51 candidates for the forthcoming Assembly elections in Nagaland, as well as for by-elections in Bihar and Punjab. In the list of 51 names announced by the Congress for the Nagaland polls, former chief minister S I Jamir will be in the fray from Dimapur-II. K L Chishi will contest from Dimapur-I, which is the only general seat for which a candidate was announced. [caption id=“attachment_602811” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Representative image. Ibnlive[/caption] Polls for the 60 member Nagaland Assembly will be held on 23 February. Results will be declared on 28 February. Congress also announced that Anita Ram will be the party candidate for Assembly by-election in Kalyanpur (Bihar) and Vijay Sathi from Moga in Punjab. PTI
