Syed Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal’s family has sought that a DNA test be carried out to verify his identity and his mother also denied investigators’ claims that her son was a terrorist and had sent her money while he was on the run. PTI”]  [/caption] Clarifying reports that her son had sent her money, Zabiuddin’s mother Rehana Begum told reporters in Beed,“My son never gave us 50 lakh rupees…My son is a very religious person and cannot do anything like this.” “My son has been falsely implicated,” she said, adding that the man arrested by the Delhi police could not be her son. She also denied reports that the investigators of the case had taken DNA tests haven’t been taken but said that many investigators had visited them over the days to question them in the case. Another relative told CNN IBN that the government should stop harassing the family members. “The government should conduct a DNA test of Abu Jundal and his parents to confirm his identity. Abu Jundal should be punished if he is guilty but his family members must not be troubled,” a relative of Zabiuddin told CNN IBN Zabiuddin, the son of an insurance salesman in Beed district of Maharashtra was nabbed by the Delhi police for his alleged involvement in the 26 November, 2008 terror strikes. His father, Zakiuddin, has suffered multiple paralytic attacks since 2006 is bedridden and according to reports his condition has worsened after he heard the news of Zabiuddin’s arrest.
The mother of suspected terrorist Abu Jundal says the man arrested by the Delhi police cannot be her son since he could not be a terrorist.
