Mumbai traffic plan: Which roads will be closed for Ganesh Visarjan

The Mumbai police have released a detail traffic plan in view of Visarjan day, where thousands of people will take to the roads to immerse their Ganesh idols.

The police said that Traffic Police Control Rooms are being set up at Five places viz. Girgaon Chowpatty, Shivaji Park Chowpatty, Bada Masjid Bandra, Juhu Chowpatty and Powai (Ganesh Ghat), while watch towers are being erected at 37 places for regulating the traffic as well as processions carrying the Ganpati idols.

The following roads will be shut from noon on Wednesday till 6 am on Thursday.

South Mumbai:

COLABA TRAFFIC DIVISION Nathalal parekh marg : will be closed from Budhvar park to indu clinic .

PYDHUNIE TRAFFIC DIVISION Jeenabhai Mulji Rathod Marg : Will be closed for vehicular traffic, from its Jn. with Shivdas Chapsi Marg to P. D’Mello Road Jn.

KALBADEVI TRAFFIC DIVISION J.S.S.Road : Will be closed from prinsess street to Portugich church. V.P.Road: Will be closed from C.P.Tank circle to Bhalchandra Company. B.J. road: will be closed from J.S.S. Road to M.K.Road. R.R.Road: Will be closed from Churnny Road Station to Portugich church till Prathana samaj. C.P. Tank Road : Will be closed from Madhav Baug to C.P. Tank Circle. 2nd Kumbharwada Road : Will be closed. Sant Sena Marg: Will be closed. 10. 2nd Sutar Galli : Will be closed. Nanubhai Desai Road : Will be closed.

TARDEO TRAFFIC DIVISION V. P. Road : From Cawasji Patel Tank to S.V.P. Road Jn. and its Jn. with Dr. Bhadkamkar Marg ( Lamington Road except for vehicles carrying Ganpati Idols and proceeding towards Chowpatty ) shall be closed for vehicular traffic. Jagannath Shanker Sheth Marg (Girgaum Road) : From Princess Street Jn. to S.V.P. Road Jn. (Opera House) will be closed for vehicular traffic. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Marg (Sandhurst Road) Prarthana Samaj will be closed for vehicular traffic. Wadi Bunder bridge shall be closed , West to East, for vehicular traffic. Pandita Ramabai Marg : From its Jn with Dr. N.A. Purandare Marg to Nyaymurti Sitaram Patkar Marg (Hughes Road) shall be closed for vehicular traffic.

BYCULLA TRAFFIC DIVISION Dr. B. A. Road : Will be closed for traffic from its Jn.with Bharatmata to Bawala compound ( D. K. Road Jn.) both side. Dr. S. S. Rao Road : Will be closed for traffic from its Jn. with Gopal Naik Chauk (Shirsagar Hotel) to Lalbaug Police Chowky. Dattaram Lad Marg : Will be closed for traffic from Chinchapokali bridge to Shravan Yashawant Chowk, Kala Chowky (both side) Sane guruji marg : will be closed from st Jaganade chawk/gas company junction to Arthar road naka ( both side).

BHOIWADA TRAFFIC DIVISION Dr. E. Borges Marg : will be closed for traffic from Dr. B.A Road, Suparibaug junction to Palav Khanolkar chawk (north) Jerbhai wadia road : will be closed for traffic from parel T.T to G.D Ambekar marg towards mane master chawk.

Eastern Suburbs

MAHIM TRAFFIC DIVISION Nyaymurti Ranade Road : Will be closed for vehicular traffic, from its jn. with N.C. Kelkar Road to its jn. with Veer Savarkar Marg and towards chaityabhumi. Shivaji Park Road No. 3 : Will be closed for vehicular traffic from its Jn. with Gokhale Road (North) to its Jn with Nyaymurti Ranade Road. Shivaji Park Road No. 4 : Will be closed for vehicular traffic from its Jn. with Gokhale Road (North) to its Jn. with Shivaji Park Road No. 3. Keluskar Marg :- Will be closed for vehicular traffic from its Jn. with Gokhale Road (North) to its Jn. with Keluskar Road (South & North). Keluskar Marg (South) : Will be closed for vehicular traffic from its Jn. with Veer Savarkar Marg to its Jn. with Keluskar Road (North). Keluskar Marg (North) : Will be closed for vehicular traffic from its Jn. with Veer Savarkar Marg to its Jn. with Keluskar Road (South). N. C. Kelkar Marg : Will be closed for vehicular traffic from Kabutarkhana to Gadkari Chowk. M. B. Raut Marg - Shivaji Park : Will be closed for vehicular traffic from its Jn. with S.V.S. Road (Cadel Road) and Shivaji Park Road No. 2.

MATUNGA TRAFFIC DIVISION Tilak Bridge Will be closed from both sides for vehicular traffic from Khodadad Circle (Dadar T.T.) to Kotwal Garden.

CHEMBUR TRAFFIC DIVISION Hemu Kalani Marg : Will be closed for vehicular traffic from its Jn.with Umarshi Bappa Jn. to Vasant Park Jn. Gidwani Marg : Will be closed from Golf Club to Zama Chauk and Zama Chauk to Chembur Naka when large Ganpati prosession will be coming this rout.

GHATKOPAR TRAFFIC DIVISION L. B. S. Marg, Kurla (W) : North bound traffic on this road will be closed from Kurla Depot Junction up to Ghatkopar Link Road Junction. North bound road will be open only for Ganpati prosession. South bound carriage way will be used for both bound traffic by putting drums and separating the lanes. 34. Ghatkopar Link Road will be closed for North bound vehicular traffic of Vasant Dada Patil Marg and Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg for all types of vehicles towards South Mumbai.

MULUND TRAFFIC DIVISION Bhattipada Marg, Bhandup (W): will be closed for all kinds of vehicular traffic, from its junction of Jangal Mangal Road, up to its junction with LBS Marg. Jangal Mangal Marg, Bhandup : will be closed for all kinds of vehicular traffic from Lxmi hotel to Sarvoday Nagar Society. Din Dayal Updhyaya, Marg ( Dumping Road ) Mulund (W) :- will be closed for all kinds of vehicular traffic from Modela junction to Ambedkar Chowk to its Junction with LBS Marg. L. B. S. Marg, Mulund (W) : North bound traffic will be closed from Modela light signal junction up to Toll Naka. South bound carriage way will be used for both way traffic by dividing in two lanes. Jangal Mangal Road, Tembi Pada Road Jn. will be closed for vehicular traffic up to Shivaji Talav L. B. S. Marg , Tank Road Jn. will be closed for vehicular traffic up to Shivaji Talav. 41. Sarvoday Nagar, Jangal Mangal Road will be closed for vehicular traffic up to Shivaji Talav.

Western Suburbs

SAKINAKA TRAFFIC DIVISION Aadi Shankaracharya Marg (Powai) : Will be closed for vehicular traffic from its Jn. with Jal Vayu Vihar Road to its Jn. with Arcade Avenue Marg (Pawarwadi).

BANDRA TRAFFIC DIVISION Link Road : will be closed for south bound vehicular traffic from its Jn. with Santacruz police station to Khar Teliphone Jn. Tagor Road : Will be closed for North bound vehicular traffic from Archana Building up to juhu road with juhu society store for left turn. Juhu Road : Will be closed for North bound vehicular traffic from its Jn. with Santacruz Police Station to link road, Gazadarbandh Jn. to Gazadar Road and South bound vehicular traffic will be closed from Rizavi college to Gazadarbandh, North bound vehicular traffic will be closed from Koliwada Jn. to Koliwada. Juhu Tara Road : Will be closed for west side vehicular traffic from its Jn.with Kishor Kumar Ganguli road and west bound vehicular traffic will be closed from Kishor kumar Ganguli road up to Roi Hotel Jn.

GOREGOAN TRAFFIC DIVISION Arey Colony Rd: will be closed for all kinds of vehicular traffic

KANDIVALI TRAFFIC DIVISION M. G. Road, Kandivali (W) : will be closed for vehicular traffic from its Jn. with Boby Shoping Center to its Jn. with Datta Mandir Road from West to East.
