According to DNA, till now, the Santacruz weather station has recorded 181.1mm rainfall at 8.30 am. Records show that this rainfall is the third highest rainfall received on a single day, in ten years. 12.10 pm: Train stations looking more like jetties With all the rains and flooding, the train stations in Mumbai are looking more like jetties. 11.32 pm: Main roads functioning, but traffic is slow The MMRDA has said that the main roads in Mumbai are waterlogged, but even though traffic was hampered, there was still some vehicular movement. Updates from Twitter say that even the Bandra- Worli sea link is affected.
10.30 pm: Dadar under water Many parts of Dadar are under water and the station, which is jammed even in the best of weather, is a commuters nightmare. Here are some tweets from the area:
11.49 pm: Trains delayed Predictably, all trains are running late, with the central line the worst affected with delays of over an hour. The Western line is around 20 minutes late, while the harbour line is around half an hour late.
