Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu on Wednesday (October 16) confirmed that the Mumbai Police has arrested a person in connection with the bomb threats recently given to three flights. The individual responsible is a minor, according to PTI.

In the past two days, at least 10 Indian airlines, including planes of Air India Express, Akasa Air, Indigo, and SpiceJet, remained grounded due to hoax bomb threats.

On Monday (October 14), three international flights that took off from Mumbai were diverted or delayed after threats made in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

On Tuesday (October 15), another seven flights were impacted because of threats issued by a different X handle which has now been suspended.
