Mumbai Police has deployed an offbeat strategy to revamp its tough image and social media presence — they ordered a cake when they realised it was the complainant’s birthday.
On Saturday, Mumbai Police tweeted a photo showing officers at the Sakinaka Police Station celebrating a complainant’s birthday with a cake.
When Anish, a resident of the locality, went to Sakinaka police station to file an FIR, he did not expect a surprise. After he filed his complaint, the officers saw his birth date in the FIR and decided to order a cake to celebrate the occasion.
