It may be a big election day, but for Twitteratti, Sachin Tendulkar is more important than anything else. #HappyBirthdaySachin has been the top trend on Twitter throughout the morning and it has held firmly to this spot all day.
Despite TV channels focusing on Narendra Modi's roadshow in Varanasi where thousands of supporters have thronged the streets chanting 'Har Har Modi', Tendulkar has clearly won the Twitter battle today. #MODIfiedKASHI is the trending on the second spot.
Varanasi has almost turned saffron with thousands of BJP supporters waving flags. But the micro-blogging site has clearly chosen Sachin over Modi.
The #MODIfiedKASHI trend started only sometime around 11 pm, much after the Sachin trend started.

#Mumbaivotes seems to be the third favourite of Twitteratti. The voter turnout has been pretty disappointing with only 15 percent turnout till 11 am. And not just on the ground, on Twitter too, the early morning enthusiasm seems to have died down. There are hardly any conversation around the hashtag and even celebs have stopped tweeting out their selfies.
