Mumbai: Central Railway to run total 180 special trains during Ganesh festival

Mumbai: Central Railway to run total 180 special trains during Ganesh festival

Mumbai: The Central Railway (CR) has decided to run 38 additional special trains to Ratnagiri and Karmali from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus here, and between Karmali and Panvel to clear the extra rush of passengers during the upcoming Ganesh festival. The CR had already announced 142 specials during the festival and these 38 specials will be in addition to those services, thereby taking the total number of special trains during the festivity to 180, an official statement said. Reuters[/caption] Train 01091 Special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 12.55 am five days a week, except Monday and Thursday, between September 2 and 21, making 15 trips and arrive at Ratnagiri at 8.30 am the same day. On its return journey, train 01092 Special will leave Ratnagiri at 3.45 PM on five days a week, except Monday and Thursday, between 2 to 21 September, with 15 trips and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 00.30 pm. Train 01043 Special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 8.25 PM on 2 September and 9 September and arrive Karmali at 8 am hrs next day, while in return train 01044 Special will leave Karmali at 6 pm on 4 September and 11 September and will arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 8 am next day. Train 01026 Special will leave Karmali at 9.50 am on 3 September and 10 September and will arrive Panvel at 8.15 PM same night while in return train No 01025 Special will leave Panvel at 10.05 PM on 3 September and 10 and arrive at Karmali at 8 am the next day. Booking for 01091, 01043 and 01025 on special charges will open from August 22 at all Passenger Reservation System (PRS) locations and through internet, the statement said. In addition, the Central Railway has also decided to augment Special train no 01037/01038 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus– Sawantwadi–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus with four general second class coaches from 25 August to 24 September from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and August 26 to September 25 from Sawantwadi Road, the statement said.
