Tomorrow’s scheduled repair work on the two runways at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) will keep flight operations momentarily paused. According to media reports, as part of an extensive post-monsoon runway maintenance plan, one of the busiest airports in the nation will close its runways for six hours on Tuesday. “Both runways - RWY 09/27 and RWY 14/32 - will be temporarily non-operational on 17th October 2023, from 1100 hrs to 1700 hrs,” the airport operator said in a statement. According to the CSMIA, a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) was sent to airlines and other interested parties six months ago.
