Medscape blames Aamir for badly portraying doctors

Medscape India, a forum to bridge gap between medical fraternity and common man, today came down upon Aamir Khan’s Satyamev Jayate, blaming the actor for ’lopsided representation of malpractices supposedly perpetrated by doctors on national television for TRPs’. “It’s rather sad that doctors should be made the object of such shameless, unilateral scrutiny,” said Himanshu Mehta, co-founder and advisor to the Medscape India Trust.[caption id=“attachment_326569” align=“alignleft” width=“380” caption=“Bollywood actor Aamir Khan. President, Maharashtra Medical Council, Kishore Taori asked, “Where is Khan when doctors are assaulted? Where is he when we give free treatment to the needy patients?” “Surprisingly, no doctor body has spoken up against Aamir yet! We need to stand united against such blatant misrepresentation.
