Masterchef George Calombaris is in India and his only reaction to the food is yum

Everyone’s favourite chef George Calombaris from reality TV show Masterchef Australia is in India, and sampling the local cuisine. Here’s his verdict.

So when George, tries out a few south Indian dishes everyone is bound to take notice. He’s currently in Bengaluru in association with Zomato to launch his  ‘GC’ series. He tried some medu vada and idli calling the vada “the best savoury donut” he has ever eaten. Crunchy, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, George fell in love. One thing that worked in the dish’s favour was that it was a “good kind of spicy” and not the kind that blows your head off.  That’s one of the reasons he likes the Indian food in India more than the Indian food in Australia. Lucky us. George also tried the delicious, sweet and saffron-laden kesari pal, that literally made his eyes pop his eyes out. His last parting shot: “Yum! I’m lucky I had a run this morning.” The post has so far been shared more than 700 times on Facebook. See the video here:
