Kolkata: A major earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 on the Richter Scale rocked Eastern and North Eastern part of India early on Monday, the Indian Meteorological Department told PTI. PTI[/caption] The quake occurred at 4.35 AM at a depth of 17 km below the ground and the epicentre is located at somewhere in Tamenglong district of Manipur. The epicentre has been located at Long 24.8 Deg North and Lat 93.5 Deg East, it said. The tremor was felt in the North Eastern and Eastern part of the country. So far, there is no report of any loss of life or property. PTI
