Man held for raping, blackmailing 19-year-old DU student

New Delhi: A 19-year-old Delhi University student was allegedly raped and blackmailed by her friend in Hauz Khas area of South Delhi, police said today. On the basis of the girl’s police complaint lodged on September 5, Brij Mohan alias Saurabh was arrested on Tuesday, police said. [caption id=“attachment_1102489” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  Naresh Sharma/Firstpost[/caption] The girl, a student of Gargi college, claimed that Mohan had also made an obscene video of her with which he was trying to extort money from her. “Mohan was known to the girl since her school days. He had developed physical relation with her and filmed the act with a hidden camera. With the help of that obscene clip, he was trying to extort money from her,” a police official said. After the medical examination of the girl, an FIR under various sections of the IPC was registered and Mohan was arrested, police said. PTI
