2006 Malegaon blast: NIA files chargesheet, names four suspects

Editor’s note: The chargesheet was filed in the case of the 2006 blasts case and not the 2008 blasts where Col Purohit and Swami Aseemanand face allegations. We regret the error and apologise for the same. The National Investigative Agency (NIA) on Wednesday named key suspect Ram Chandra Kalsangra and three others in its chargesheet for the alleged planning and execution of the 2006 Malegaon blasts. ~However, it did not mention the names of Swami Aseemanand and former Lt Col Srikant Purohit, reported Zee News.~ The four people named are Manohar Narwaria, Ram Singh Kalsangra, Rajender Chaudhary and Dhan Singh. AFP[/caption] CNN-IBN reported that the chargesheet also says that key conspirators Sunil Joshi and Amit helped procure the cycles used in the blast. The chargesheet comes as a huge embarrassment for the Maharashtra ATS and CBI who had earlier filed a chargesheet against nine Muslims youths.
