Major fire breaks out at a mall in Kolkata's New Market

Kolkata: A major fire broke out at a shopping mall in the New Market area in the heart of the city today. [caption id=“attachment_2213568” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Representational image. Reuters[/caption] Eighteen fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the flames which were suspected to have been caused by a short-circuit inside the godown of the mall this morning, a fire brigade official said. “The fire broke out at 11.45 am at the CitiMart and fire tenders are still fighting to contain the blaze,” he said.
