Kolkata: Ahead of assuming charge as the Vice Chief of Army Staff at the Army Headquarters in Delhi on Wednesday, Lt Gen Dalbir Singh today bade farewell to the Eastern Command in Kolkata. In his farewell message to all ranks, Singh, who was General Officer Commanding of the Eastern Command since 16 June 2012, emphasised on the need for maintaining operational readiness and efficient logistics, upholding of values and traditions of the Indian Army and creating an atmosphere of mutual trust and confidence.[caption id=“attachment_1316423” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]
