Lok Sabha polls 2024 dates will be announced on Saturday, 16 March at 3 pm, the Election Commission of India said.
Along with, dates of General Elections 2024, the ECI will announce schedule for some state Assembly polls on Saturday during the press conference that will be held in New Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan.
“Press Conference by Election Commission to announce schedule for General Elections2024 and some State Assemblies will be held at 3 pm tomorrow i.e. Saturday, 16th March. It will livestreamed on social media platforms of the ECI,” the poll body said in a post on X.

In 2019, Lok Sabha poll dates were announced on March 10. It was held in seven phases beginning April 11 and counting of votes took place on May 23.
