Live: Witness says Delhi constable collapsed, report says assault

The condition of the survivor of the horrific gangrape in Delhi continues to remain critical with doctors keeping her on the ventilator. However, the protests seeking action against rape have claimed one life with a constable, Subhash Tomar, dying during clashes with protesters at India Gate on Sunday. While the police claimed he had died of injuries sustained during duty, eyewitness reports have now emerged that he may have collapsed and died.

Meanwhile, there is also a war of words on between the Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and the police commissioner Neeraj Kumar over the action taken by the police.
