Anti-superstition activist Narendra Dabholkar was on Tuesday shot dead by unknown assailants while on a morning walk. His body was found in a pool of blood at Omkareshwar bridge in Pune.

The suspect at the time of crime was wearing a blue and grey check shirt and was riding a black splendor. The suspect is approximately 26 years old and around 5 ft 7 inches in height. He has also been described as having a scar on his cheek. No arrests have been made yet.  Read more here. They vowed to continue Dabholkar’s movement to get the anti-superstition and black magic bill passed. In Nashik, activists of various political organisations and that of Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti, the outfit headed by Dhabolkar gathered at the Hutatma Smarak in front of the collectorate to condemn Dabholkar’s killing and also took out a peaceful march in which a large number of youth participated.
