The plot continues to get thicker in the Sheena Bora murder case. In the latest development, India Today has reportedly accessed emails exchanged between Sheena, Peter Mukerjea, Indrani and Vidhie prior to Sheena’s murder. Indrani had previously cut of support to her parents in Guwahati after Sheena and Rahul’s alleged engagement. This prompted Sheena to write to Indrani asking why she had forced her grandparents from contacting her for as long as she was in a relationship with Rahul. The chargesheet also shows that Indrani’s daughter from her second marriage to Sanjeev Khanna, Vidhie, also emailed Sheena explaining that her fear of Indrani led her to previous nasty exchange of words with Sheena. Times Now accessed another set of emails before Sheena’s disappearance where Indrani managed to reconcile with her daughter and was beginning to embark towards a “normal” relationship. The Indian Express in a report revealed that Sheena’s email from her Gmail account to Indrani on 9 March 2012 said that her perception of her mother had changed over the past one year. In a previous discovery, CNN-IBN accessed an email sent from Sheena’s account to Indrani’s husband and media honcho Peter in March 2013, almost a year after her death. CNN-IBN also revealed on Wednesday that Rahul wrote to Peter in 2011 that he has given documents and evidence against Indrani to a third party for safekeeping in case “anything ever happened” to either of them. He wrote to his father claiming “Indrani threatened us.” The news channel also reveal forged emails by Indrani pretending to be Sheena in an email to her daughter Vidhie in 2013, nine months after the alleged murder. The CBI claims that Indrani wanted to keep up the charade that Sheena was alive. Mikhail Bora also wrote to Indrani on 27 May 2014 for some money for treatments for his grandparents where he writes, “Mom, please help this time I am your son.” Mikhail later told the CBI that he had not gotten any response from Indrani. In the emails accessed by CNN-IBN just days before Sheena’s disappearance, show a conversation between mother-daughter about Sheena applying to UK universities for her Masters degree. A letter was also sent to Sheena’s landlord three months after her alleged murder cancelling the rent agreement. Peter is currently in CBI custody until 27 November, and is being further questioned on the case. The CBI is also probing whether Peter knew about the alleged murder plot and the subsequent cover up. The cause of death has been identified as death due to asphyxia as a result of strangulation. The Aiims report accessed by CNN-IBN says no injury was caused by blunt or sharp weapon. There were full-body burns over the skeleton found in Raigad district which suggests that the extent of burns were massive and the intention was to destroy the whole body to conceal the prime evidence of death investigation, according to the report. The bones were subjected excessive high temperatures and tampered by heat due to burning. A previous report on the emails exchanged between Rahul Mukerjea and his father Peter call the events surrounding the disappearance of Sheena Bora “all mighty strange.”
The plot just keeps on thickening in the Indrani Mukerjea-Sheena Bora case.
