Lalu Prasad Yadav to teach fellow prisoners political science?

He earlier gave lessons to students of IIM Ahmedabad but thanks to a court verdict Lalu Prasad Yadav could soon be a part of the lecture circuit in Ranchi’s Birsa Munda jail. The former Bihar Chief Minister, who is presently lodged in the jail after being convicted in the fodder scam, may teach political science and management to the approximately 150 prisoners who are preparing for graduation and post graduation courses. Reuters image](https://images.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/LaluPrasadYadav380_Reuters.jpg) Lalu is likely to appeal against the sentence. Reuters image[/caption] “Due to his age, health and political status, we cannot make him do hard work. I will request him to teach the jailed criminals. It would be nice if he teaches political science and management,” Virendra Kumar Singh, jail superintendent in charge was quoted as saying in  a Times of India report. Having made presentations to Harvard Business School and IIM students during his tenure as Railway Minister, Yadav does know a thing or two about teaching. For most students of political science there will be few teachers they would encounter who have been involved in national and state politics to the extent that Yadav has been. However, if he does accept the offer to teach, the wily former Bihar Chief Minister is unlikely to release his trade secrets just yet. Be as it may, there is still a very good chance that the best political science lectures will be inside Birsa Munda jail!
