 "Kerala sets up SIT to probe fishermen killings")
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Police on Tuesday set up a Special Investigation Team headed by Kochi City Police Commissioner M R Ajith Kumar to investigate the killing of two Indian fishermen allegedly by the marines aboard the Italian ship Enrica Lexie. Kerala DJP Jacob Punnose told PTI that the team would have Kollam SP Sam Christie Daniel and selected Crime Branch officers as its part. Fishermen Valentine Jalastine and Ajeesh Binki were shot dead allegedly by marines on the ship on 15 February off Kollam coast. The arrested marines Latore Massimiliano and Salvatore Gironi were yesterday sent to police custody for three days after being remanded in judicial custody for 14 days by a court in Kollam. PTI
