Jundal to be quizzed on Jama Masjid, German bakery blasts

Syed Zabiudin who also goes by the alias Abu Jundal, will reportedly be quizzed on every terror attack that took place on Indian soil since 2006. Jundal has reportedly already admitted that he was one of the main handlers in the 26/11 attacks, speaking to gunmen and motivating them through many pitched gun battles with security forces. Now security agencies want to find out if he was also involved in other terror strikes that took place in India. CNN-IBN quoting sources reported that it was likely that Jundal would be quizzed in relation to the Jama Masjid blasts in Delhi, the Chinnaswamy stadium explosion in Bangalore and the German Bakery blast in Pune to name a few. Mumbai police which was the investigating agency in the 2008 terror strikes also reportedly wants to interrogate Zabiuddin for his alleged involvement in the case and could also send a team across to Delhi. Meanwhile the Delhi Police is likely to seek an extension of remand of 26/11 handler Abu Jundal, which may put a spanner in Mumbai Police’s efforts to question him soon Soon after the arrest of Jundal became public, a Mumbai court yesterday issued a production warrant against him. Equipped with the production warrant, a team of Mumunbai Police will now file an application in a Delhi court seeking the custody of Jundal and bring him to Mumbai to stand trial in 26/11 case. However, if Delhi Police manages to get extension of Jundal’s custody, then Mumbai Police will have to wait for some more time till he is sent to judicial custody.
