Jammu: A court on Friday extended by 12 days the judicial remand of a Pakistani terrorist and five others in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir that killed two BSF troopers.

Naved was the only terrorist captured alive after the Udhampur attack. PTI

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) designate court extended the remand of Pakistani Muhammad Naved and his accomplices, a police officer told IANS.

Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists Naved and Noman, both Pakistanis, attacked a Border Security Force bus in Udhampur district on 5 August, killing two troopers and injuring 11 others.

Noman was killed in a gunfight while Naveed escaped to a village where he was overpowered.

Based on Naveed’s interrogation, the other five were arrested from the Kashmir Valley on charges of ferrying the LeT terrorists and their weapons in a fruit truck to Udhampur.
