JoSAA 2017 second round allotment results declared: Check grades at josaa.nic.in

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) declared the result for the second allotment 2017 at 5 pm on Tuesday. Students can check the results at the official website: josaa.nic.in.

Acceptance or withdrawal of seat can be done on 5 and 6 July from 10 am to 5 pm, a report in English Matrubhumi said.

According to the list published by the JoSAA on Tuesday, a total of 6,799 seats are vacant in various institutes. There are 46 vacant seats in IIT Kharagpur, 25 in IIT Delhi, 19 in IIT Madras and 14 vacant seats in IIT Bombay.

The results have been declared for 97 institutes, including 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 23 IIITs and 20 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) under the Central Seat Allocation Board, The Indian Express said.

Steps to check JOSAA 2017 second allotment result:

– Go to the official website, josaa.nic.in.

– Click on the option “Round 2: View Allotment Result and Pay Seat Acceptance Fee”.

– Enter your JEE main roll number and other required relevant information to log in.

– Download your allotment result and take a print out for further reference.

After checking the result, students can either accept the allotment, participate in the next round, report to the college or withdraw their acceptance.

To accept allotment: Pay the acceptance fee and get the required documents verified at the reporting centre.

To participate in the next rounds: Against the chosen course, select "freeze", "slide" or "float."

If in a subsequent round, allotment of a candidate changes from NIT+ system to IIT, the candidate must report at an IIT reporting centre. Those shifting to NIT+ from IIT will have to report to the NIT+ reporting centre.

To withdraw: Visit the reporting centre before the seventh round of allotment is over.
