The Indian Embassy in Kuwait yesterday said in a statement that it highly commends such humanitarian efforts shown by a young Indian national in Kuwait. Indian community members and organisations are collecting funds and material relief for those affected in the flood-ravaged Jammu and Kashmir. Floods triggered by incessant rain in Jammu and Kashmir in the first week of September has caused widespread damage to property and infrastructure in the state. The devastating floods that hit Jammu and Kashmir has been described as the worst in 109 years.
