Jharkhand chief minister Raghubar Das on Sunday said his government has made a lot of progress to bridge the gap between the administration and common people in order to put a check on middlemen.

Chaibasa (Jharkhand): Jharkhand chief minister Raghubar Das on Sunday said his government has made a lot of progress to bridge the gap between the administration and common people in order to put a check on middlemen. The step was aimed to crush middlemen engaged in exploiting people, Das said while addressing the people at the “Sarkar aap ke dwar” (government at your doorstep) programme at Hudgada village under Bandgaon block of West Singhbhum district. PTI[/caption] The chief minister emphasised that the benefits of government schemes must reach the bonafide beneficiaries. Das assured that coordinators would be recruited for all 24 districts and 18 blocks within a month. The district and block coordinators would ensure implementation of government schemes, he said. He also assured that all facilities would be provided to the landless, homeless and widows. The list of beneficiaries have been prepared also, he said. The rural administrative unit is working with a team to develop a system to provide basic amenities to people, he said. He also said that the government was getting Rs 250 crore per annum from the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) and water projects worth Rs 5000 crore have been launched across the state. Das also greeted people on the eve of Raksha Bandhan.
