Jayalalithaa's health: MS Swaminathan, Kushboo visit Apollo hospital to convey wishes

Chennai: Eminent agriculture scientist MS Swaminathan on Monday visited Apollo Hospital and enquired about the health status of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa who is undergoing treatment.
Swaminathan, also founder of MS Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSSRF), conveyed the prayers of scientists, scholars and staff of his institution for the speedy recovery of Jayalalithaa.
An MSSSRF release said Swaminathan called on Deputy Speaker Lok Sabha M Thambidurai, state Finance Minister O Panneerselvam and Health Minister C Vijayabhaskar during his visit.
Also, Congress party spokesperson Kushboo Sundar, pastors of Church of South India (CSI) and a host of others visited the hospital. Prayers were continued to be held across Tamil Nadu in places of worship for the speedy recovery of Jayalalithaa, who was admitted to the hospital on 22 September last and being treated for infection.
