PTI[/caption] “A Samadhan Kendra, a single contact point for addressing public grievances effectively, was launched in Jammu yesterday,” Deputy Commissioner Jammu A K Sahu said. An officer of the rank of Tehsildar has been made in charge of the cell and sufficient staff has been deployed to make it functional on 24X7 basis, he added. Sahu said Jammu residents can dial 1077 any time in the day through either landline or mobile and register their grievances. Residents can also send their grievances pertaining to the district administration through email to samadhanjammu@gmail.com. Working of the district dispensation at all levels is being strictly monitored to ensure people get all services in a total hassle free and transparent manner, Sahu said. Inaugurating the Samadhan Kendra here, Divisional Commissioner Shant Manu congratulated the Deputy Commissioner and other officers for their initiative to reach out to the people in a most innovative manner. He exhorted upon the need to further strengthen the service delivery mechanism by using latest technologies. PTI
