Jaitapur N-project won't affect fishing in the area: govt

Nagpur: The nuclear power plant at Jaitapur village in coastal Ratnagiri district won’t have any impact on fishing, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Wednesday said. During question hour in the Legislative Assembly, Shiv Sena leader Subhash Desai said the project is located in the ecologically sensitive coastal area, and local fishermen feared adverse impact.
