By Bikram Vohra So what if 21 people have died, some of them children. Never mind if thousands have been struck by the disease. Scoring brownie points is more important. It’s the fault of the BJP led MCD, not the Delhi Government. [caption id=“attachment_2262074” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] AFP[/caption] No, it’s Chief Minister Kejriwal who is to blame, the guy doesn’t know his alphabet of command. And he’s too busy spending 52 crores on ads lauding his awesome successes. Between the two of them they have been passing this hot little potato back and forth at the expense of the people. And doing diddley to go out in a full assault on the infection. But what about the 21 people who have died and many more who might? What about them? They are dead. You aren’t going to ruin a good match for what cannot be helped. Besides, the hospitals are reportedly charging Rs 20,000 for a unit of platelets so someone is getting rich, stop whining. More people die on the road, don’t see you crying about that. And if it is in your karma and kismet to get bitten by the Aedes mosquito don’t pass the buck onto the standoff between the Centre and the State, it is not their problem. You probably didn’t pray hard enough. Nor should you be so petty as a Delhi-ite not to sacrifice yourself to dengue to help make the Congress party delirious (with joy, not fever) as it marches up and down protesting the poor show. After all, when they were in power the Aedes cowered in a corner and there were no dirty drains, no stagnant green pools of water, no much ,no soggy garbage dumps, just clean and pristine Delhi.Yes, sure. Never has governance hit such a low. This rising damp is testimony to frightful governance, personal arrogance and utter stupidity. So what if 21 people have died, that’s collateral damage to being in power and you don’t like it, hard cheese, live with it. Unless the damn thing bites you.
