PTI[/caption] “The ISIS is an outcome of the selfish, arrogant Western policies in the Middle East," said Bhagwat as he addressed the RSS cadre in Nagpur in his annual speech on the occasion of Dussehra. “Despite great advances in the world, there is still a lot of arrogance and conflict in the world.” Bhagwat focussed on the selfishness of policy formation as he said that “everybody talks about unity and welfare. But the same people then work for their own selfish needs.” “It is because of this selfishness that the environment is being destroyed throughout the world,” said Bhagwat. Bhagwat also spoke on other events and issues, one of them being India’s Mars Mission. “This year has been special. I congratulate the scientists behind the success of the Mars Mission,” said Bhagwat. Bhagwat also praised the Indian athletes at the Asian Games. “Our sportspersons have made us proud in the Asian Games,” he said. “Our athletes have performed exceedingly well at the Incheon Asian Games.” Bhagwat also praised PM Narendra Modi’s recent visit to the US. “PM Modi’s recent visit to the US was a huge success,” he said. “Modi was given a great welcome in the US.” This speech by the RSS chief at Vijaya Dashmi, which has been an annual practice since the founding of the organisation in 1925, is usually an event in which the RSS leader lays down the Sangh’s vision, analyses the situation in the country and mentions its expectations from the government.
