Is Tarun Tejpal and his credibility finished with the sexual assault charges?

Has Tarun Tejpal destroyed his credibility completely with the sexual assault case against him? Senior journalist Shefalee Vasudev said that even in the rare possibility that he did survive the legal battle, his voice is completely finished. Speaking to CNN-IBN, she said, “He seems to be smug towards the idea that he is indestructible. As a journalist, either he had no voice and when he gathered one he had a rickety voice. Tarun has literally handed over his head on a platter. There is no courage involved in shaming Tejpal, " he said. But there is a difference between media trial and media scrutiny, pointed out CNN-IBN managing editor Vinay Tewari. In Tejpal’s case media scrutiny took the case to its logical conclusion. Tejpal did not cooperate, gave differing statements — which is why often media went into a trial mode.
