India's concerns over Rohingya justified as Saudi Arabia, Pakistan links could make them easy conduits of terrorism

The discovery of two mass graves of Hindus massacred in the Rakhine state of Myanmar by the Rohingya terrorists may not be all. One grave reportedly has 28 bodies, mostly women, while the second grave has 17 bodies.

According to one report, citing a witness, some 300 Rohingya terrorists rounded up 100 Hindus and killed 92 of them. Some women were abducted and taken away to Bangladesh. The rugged terrain of the Chittagong Hill Tracts is famous for terrorist sanctuaries and has often been used by ISI and Al-Qaeda instructors.

Former joint director of IB, MK Dhar referring to the period 1992-1993 wrote in his book, Open Secrets – India’s Intelligence Unveiled, "SIMI had already started deputing 'volunteers' to Pakistan for training along with the mujahideen, Taliban, and Al Qaeda cadres. They established firm linkages with Islamic Chhatra Shibir, Al-Qaeda affiliated Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami (HuJI), Al-Badr, Al-Jihad and other organisations in Bangladesh and were trained in facilities located inside Bangladesh and under the very noses of the DGFI and BDR.”
It is well known that during the BNP rule four major anti-India terrorist training camps were being run in Bangladesh.

The UNSC is meeting on 28 September to discuss the violence in Myanmar and hear a briefing from UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on request from UK, France, US and four other countries after some 4,30,000 Rohingya’s fled into Bangladesh.

Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused Myanmar of "Buddhist terror" and “genocide”, which is laughable since it was Turkey (under him) where the Islamic State was trained in 2014 before which 10,000 of them ran over Mosul. Besides, Turkey has been a conduit for terrorists.

So, will the UNSC also discuss the Rohingya genocide of the Hindus?

More significantly, the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) has claimed responsibility for the 25 August 2017 attacks that started a fresh wave of violence and mass exodus. On that day 150 armed Rohingyas attacked 24 Police Stations and an Army Base in Mangdu district of Myanmar that left 71 dead. This prompted a military crackdown, which triggered more killings and exodus of Rohingyas.

According to the International Crisis Group (ICG), the entire Rohingya Movement is controlled by some 20 wealthy Rohingya businessmen settled in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Ata Ullah, head of the ARSA established ARSA in in October 2016 is a Pakistani national who has received billions of dollars from Saudi Arabia.

ARSA, which was known formerly as Harakat al-Yaqin (HAY), reportedly, has links with both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

ARSA calls for an Independent Islamic Rohingya State and since its formation have been attacking police stations and government offices in Myanmar, apart from several attacks on Buddhists and Hindus. On 26 October 2016, ARSA attacked a Myanmar police post killing nine policemen, thus sparking a crackdown on Muslim-majority northern sector of the Rakhine state in Myanmar.

With the UNHCR panel that appoints independent experts is headed by a Saudi national Faisal Bin Hassan Trad; the same country, which is reportedly harbouring Rohingya businessmen who are allegedly orchestrating riots in Myanmar and funding terrorist groups like ARSA.
The larger picture of the Rohingya crisis, therefore, cannot be ignored.

It may be recalled that Pakistani national Asim Umar was appointed the chief of Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) by Al-Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri in September 2014 because, Asim’s mother organisation, HUJI, had cells operating in Kashmir, Bangladesh, and Myanmar.

But even before the present crisis, India already had 40,000 illegal Rohingya immigrants in India, although, under the guise of pressure from the UNHCR, the Communist regime of West Bengal and the Congress at the Centre (in 2010-2011) Centre acquiesced in connivance for vote-bank politics and perhaps something more sinister.

Why else did the Congress force the infamous Illegal Migrants Determination by Tribunal (IMDT) Act of 1983 on Assam that changed the demography of the state before the Supreme Court struck it down 23 years later in 2005? Why else would the Congress allow 4,000 of these 40,000 Rohingyas to settle in Jammu despite the existence of Article 370? And the same Omar Abdullah who didn’t cite Article 370 then, is now rooting for Rohingyas not to be deported back, even though the Rohingyas have already multiplied to some 8,000 with every family averaging 10-12 children.

There should be no doubt that Pakistan's ISI-Lashkar-e-Taiba and Saudi-Al-Qaeda combinedly have engineered the Rohingya crisis for global jihad, and the Islamic State has been eyeing South Asia to expand its Islamic State Korasan. This stark reality is being glossed over under the cover of the human misery bit — on same lines that Syrian and many more non-Syrian refugees were inducted into Europe. It is not without reason that Lashkar-e-Taiba cadres have been frequenting the Bangladesh-Myanmar border region. One of the aims is likely to bring down Sheikh Hasina since she has clamped down on terrorist organisations in Bangladesh.

It may be recalled that, in 2013, Bangladesh government had confirmed to New Delhi that terror groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba have instigated Rohingyas into violence in Myanmar. It may be recalled that Abdul Kareem Tunda of Lashkar-e-Taiba too had admitted that he had travelled from Pakistan to Bangladesh to recruit Rohingyas for jihad. It is such radicalisation that is resulting in the forced conversion of Hindu women by the Rohingyas even in refugee camps set up by Bangladesh.

Aqa Mul Mujahideen (AMM), Rohingya terror group, also fully Pakistan-backed has been receiving instructions from Pakistan’s ISI to launch pre-dawn attacks on Myanmar police posts. Pakistan is, as usual, expressing deep concern over the growing number of deaths and forced displacement of Rohingya Muslims with similar calls coming from Afghan Taliban, Al Qaida, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), etc, calling for attacks on Myanmar authorities.

China has been the smartest; supporting Myanmar and simultaneously supporting Pakistan’s terror underhand. Rohingya’s dare not immigrate illegally to China because they would be simply shot at.

The bottom-line, of course, is that while the UN may refer to the Rohingyas as refugees, they are illegal immigrants to an already over-populated India. Besides, the reported links of the Rohingyas with Pakistan and the chances of their exploitation for global jihad and destabilising India and the region just cannot be ignored.

The notable part is that none of the Islamic countries that are raising their voice for Rohingyas are prepared to accommodate them. The same was seen in the case of Syrian refugees with even the oil-rich Saudi Arabia not willing to accommodate them.

Why don’t Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia take some of the Rohingya overflows? Why does the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) decide amongst themselves to take as many Rohingyas as they can? As for India, the illegal immigrants, whether from Myanmar or Bangladesh, must be deported back to the country of their origin.
