India's COVID-19 tally crosses 87.73 lakh with 44,684 new infections; toll at 1.29 lakh

New Delhi: India's COVID-19 caseload climbed to 87.73 lakh on Saturday after 44,684 new infections were reported in the past 24 hours, said the Union health ministry.
With 81,63,572 patients being cured so far, the national recovery rate stood at 93.04 percent, the data updated at 8 am showed.
The COVID-19 case fatality rate has further declined to 1.47 percent.
There are 4,80,719 active COVID-19 cases in the country which comprises 5.48 percent of the total caseload, the data stated.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a cumulative total of 12,40,31,230 samples have been tested for COVID-19 up to 13 November. At least 9,29,491 samples were tested on Friday alone.

There are 4,43,794 active cases of coronavirus infection in the country which comprises 4.92 percent of the total caseload, said the health ministry on Friday
The total number of coronavirus infection mounted to 92,66,705 on Thursday, while the toll climbed to 1,35,223 with 524 new fatalities, the health ministry said
With 87,18,517 patients being cured, the national recovery rate reached 93.64 percent while the COVID-19 case fatality rate has further declined to 1.45 percent
