There are reportedly 16 crew members on board the MV, consisting of 3 Sri Lankans and 13 Indians.

The MV had capsized about 25 NM southeast of Ras Madrakah, Oman on July 15 and search and rescue efforts in coordination with Oman Authorities are in progress since July 16.

The search and rescue by Indian and Omani naval assets is being undertaken in challenging weather conditions as the area is experiencing rough sea and strong winds. Indian Navy’s long range maritime reconnaissance aircraft P8I is also assisting in search for survivors.
