India releases 19 Pakistani prisoners

Lahore: India on Tuesday handed over 19 Pakistani prisoners to the authorities at the Wagah land border crossing. The prisoners included 17 fishermen, a 10-year-old boy and an eighty-year-old man. They were released from different Indian jails. Security personnel and workers of the NGO Edhi Foundation greeted them with flowers and sweets. They were also served a meal. The prisoners will be handed over to their relatives after authorities verify their identity, officials said. PTI
