PTI[/caption] “In order to avoid any conflict the police have asked the north-eastern and Tibetan staff at Hyatt hotel and AlphaOne Mall to stay away from the main venue where the function will take place,” police told Ahmedabad Mirror . The step was reportedly taken to avoid any embarrassment before President Xi, although everyone including those from North East and Tibet were issued passes. The Ahmedabad Mirror quoting sources said that “the police might have taken the steps to avoid mistaking north-easterners as Tibetans”. The newspaper however did not succeed in getting any comment either from the police or from the hotel management.
