I can teach you to remove a dhoti but not how to wear it: 84-year-old MP minister tells Russian woman

Octogenarian home minister of Madhya Pradesh Babulal Gaur drew criticism after he spoke of his encounter with a Russian woman in which he spoke of her kissing him on his forehead and where he said he would show her how to untie a dhoti but later. IBNLive[/caption] Addressing a naturopathy event in Bhopal, the 84-year-old former chief minister said that the wife of a Russian leader was curious about how he wore a dhoti without a zip or belt, reports Indian Express . “I told her I can’t teach you how to wear it, but I can certainly teach you how to remove it, but that too later not now,” he said reports Hindustan Times . Gaur was at a function which was attended by BJP state president Nand Kumar Singh Chauhan and general secretary Arvind Menon. The BJP Minister’s memories of his Russia trip also included being kissed on the forehead by a Russian woman. Gaur told his audience that kissing was how people showed respect in Russia, but had that photograph (of a woman kissing his forehead) been available in India, the BJP wouldn’t have given him a ticket, reports NDTV . But this is hardly the minister’s first brush with controversy and misogyny. Gaur had shot to limelight in June last year for saying rape was sometimes right and sometimes wrong. A few months before, he had also claimed that there are fewer rape cases in the South because women dress decently and are religious.
