UP horror: 12-year-old girl raped in Muzaffarnagar

Muzaffarnagar: A 12-year-old girl was raped allegedly by a youth at Gharipukhpa village in Shamli district, police said on Monday. Reuters[/caption] According to a complaint filed by the victim’s family, the girl was raped by the accused Irshad in sugarcane fields in the village yesterday, they said. On hearing the cries of the girl, some villagers rushed to the spot and handed over the accused to the police after beating him. A case has been registered against the accused. PTI
