Honeypreet stonewalls questions by SIT: Haryana Police mulls narco test on Ram Rahim's adopted daughter

Just a day after jailed Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s daughter Honeypreet Insan was remanded to police custody for six days by a court in Panchkula, the police is mulling a narco test on her. The Special Investigation Team of the Haryana Police interrogating her found it difficult to extract answers from her. Twitter @CNNNews18[/caption] India Today reported that Honeypreet only offered head nods and silences to the 40-odd questions asked to her by the SIT officials. She only revealed that she did not use voice call to get in touch with anyone but used WhatsApp for communication. She was questioned till 3 am in connection with the charges against her, which include sedition and rioting. “She (Honeypreet) was evasive in her replies about her whereabouts and her role in inciting violence and providing funding to those behind the violence. We are interrogating her and will seek her police remand,” a police officer involved in the questioning told _IANS_ . Honeypreet complained of chest pain in the night and was taken to a hospital where she was found to be fine by doctors. According to NewsX, following are some of the questions that she was asked: 1. Why did you go off the radar after coming out of the Sonaria Jail in Rohtak? 2. Who played the key role in inciting violence after the conviction of Ram Rahim Singh? 3. What was Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s role in inciting violence? After the interrogation, the police concluded that Honeypreet possessed some international numbers and has been in touch with Aditya Insan.

Meanwhile, the persecution sought a 10-day remand for Honeypreet, saying she was the closest aide of Gurmeet, who is serving 20 years of sentence on two counts of rape. It also said that she knew many things about the activities of the sect and its role in the violence in Panchkula. Honeypreet had remained a fugitive for 38 days before she was booked by Haryana Police on the charge of sedition. A court in Panchkula had in September issued arrest warrants against top Dera functionaries – Honeypreet, Aditya Insan and Pawan Insan. All three were booked by the Haryana Police on charges of sedition, inciting violence and being involved in a conspiracy to help Dera chief Gurmeet escape after his conviction by a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on 25 August on two counts of raping women disciples in 1999.
