The
India Meteriological Department (IMD) predicted on Saturday that there will be no respite from heavy rainfall at least for the next two days. Rain are very likely along the West Coast and at many places over Central and East India and Andaman and Nicobar Islands till 3 August. Few places over northwest and west and northeast India and isolated places over remaining parts of the country are also expecting heavy rain. Isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Bihar, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Konkan and Goa are also expected to receive rain on Sunday. This will continue till 3 August, according to the IMD. Similarly, Delhi is also expected to experience moderate to light rainfall in the next two days. Bengaluru will have a cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. However, the weather will mostly be pleasant. Assam is also expected to experience moderate rain but, have a pleasant weather after Sunday, as predicted by the IMD. Gurugram will mostly be paralysed by rain with a possibility of a thunderstorm or dust storm. On Friday, rain occurred at most places and the minimum temperatures were above normal at a few places over Gangetic West Bengal and at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim. They were below normal at many places over Konkan and Goa and Rayalaseema; at isolated places over West Rajasthan, East Uttar Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch and Tamilnadu.
