Seventeen-year-old Arnav Aggarwal is a good model to follow. The resident of Chandigarh not only topped the AIIMS pre-medical test, he did it without spending quantities of money on tuition. Interestingly, Aggarwal had also secured the second rank in IIT-JEE, but had decided to give up the seat as he hoped he had cracked the medical entrance. A gamble, as it turned out that was well made. The Times of India reports:
Arnav had earlier topped the city in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission to all undergraduate medical colleges in the country. He, however, stood second nationally. Arnav had scored 95.4% marks in Class XII.

“All I am aiming right now is to do my best in the college I get into. Having got into AIIMS is a dream come true,” he said. He added that though he had not resorted to tutorials, he had set himself a strict study regimen which he followed without fail.
