AFP[/caption] The posts of 3,000 doctors, 42,660 para-medical staff, and many other posts were lying vacant in the state run hospitals, Health minister R S Rathore replied on a starred question of BJP MLA Kiran Maheshwari in the state assembly. However, the process to fill up 31,208 nurses, and 14,811 other posts were underway, he said, adding even the government was ready to recruit doctors on contract basis. Previous Congress government had announced to open 600 primary health centres, 100 referral hospitals and 15 new medical colleges, but the population criteria was not included in the plan, he said, adding hence the new government would review the very decision. There were only 8 satellite hospitals working in the state and as of now no new plan was envisaged in the state, he replied to another question. On another starred question of BJP MLA Ramhet Singh, the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister G C Kataria told the house that the houses under “affordable housing scheme” (AHS) initiated in Kishangarhbas by the previous Congress government was yet not completed due to time limit, and there would be no financial burden on the allottees, but the developers’ responsibilities would be fixed after review. On one developer who allegedly encroached a government land and road for building AHS would be checked and its responsibility would be fixed, if found guilty, Kataria said. During Question Hour, the house witnessed noisy scene on a question of Nationalist People’s Party (NPP) MLA K L Meena related to controversy of allotment and agreement on “bajri” (gravel) after the BJP government came to power last month. The Speaker Kailash Meghwal permitted and allotted 30 minutes to Opposition MLAs to raise the issue later through a motion. PTI
