We have handed over the body to the local police. The CCTV footage seems to suggest that this was a planned suicide,” said the spokesperson for the Delhi Metro. This, however, is not the first such incident with the Delhi Metro. “We do not keep a record of those who have died in such circumstances. We only keep a record of those who have been saved. Since 2002, 125 people have been saved by pressing the emergency brake,” said the spokesperson. The Delhi Police is yet to ascertain the identity of the girl.
