Ghaziabad: 35-year-old man tries to rape 3-yr-old, held

Ghaziabad: A 35-year-old man allegedly tried to rape a three-year-old girl in the Sahibabad area, police said today. According to police, the accused, identified as one Manoj Kumar of Saheed Nagar colony, has been arrested for allegedly trying to rape the infant girl. The girl was playing outside her house when the accused came there in an inebriated condition and took her to a terrace where he tried to molest her, police said. But the girl’s wailing brought her grandmother to the spot and?Manoj was then caught with the help of neighbours who handed him over to police after thrashing him. Reuters[/caption] SHO Sahibabad Upender Yadav said that the accused has been booked under Section 354 of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
